The 2024 Toyota bZ4X is built to electrify with the e-TNGA dedicated platform and two all-electric powertrain options, including the base 201-hp single-motor front-wheel drive setup with 196 lb-ft of torque or an available dual-motor all-wheel drive setup with 214 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. AWD comes with X-MODE, which adjusts drive force, braking and throttle input for impressive performance in tough conditions by using Snow/Dirt, Deep Snow, Mud and Grip Control modes.
For 2024, the Toyota bZ4X’s dual-voltage charging cable for portable Level One and Level Two charging now comes standard on all grades. The entry-level XLE FWD trim is rated for an incredible EPA-estimated range of up to 252 miles, while Limited gets an EPA-estimated 236 miles of range. All models are equipped with a J1772/CCSI connector for Level 3 DC fast charging and Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging, and the 7.6 kW onboard charger can charge from low battery light to full in about 9.5 hours with a Level 2 charger at 240V. Plus, Level 2 charging provides approximately 20 miles of range per hour of charge and can fully charge the battery when plugged in overnight.
